Anyways, it's just bits and pieces to me about the 8 day 7 night tour around a few places besides Shanghai. In fact, it was only a 2 day 1 night stay in Shanghai but that's more than enough to cover up the more important stops in the concrete jungles of Shanghai XD What's more, like I mentioned before, Facebook and most other popular social networking sites were completely banned from China which means Twitter and Facebook weren't directly accessible nor was YouTube!! :( Sucks to be a China-man and not be able to socialise via the Internet XP
Moving on, the scenery in most parts of China were magnificent and most of the ancient culture of the Chinese were maintained within these buildings which means almost no modern day touch-ups were done to these structures and LOOK AT THAT!! It looks like something straight out of the minds of an artist!! XP Of course this is but one picture, there are way more than that but I can't go around uploading that many pictures on one post now can I? :P Believe me when I say that China is not only rich in history and culture, it's ancient beauty still survives the torment of time. Owh! I also forgot to mention, that building with the reflection in the water. That's actually somebody's house!! Yes!! It's an ancient house which the Chinese government turned into a tourist spot. How awesome would that be huh?
Monks in China were pretty well-to-do too!! That's just the roof of where monks meet up every year and it changes colour non stop!! It's like blue once second, then red, then green, then white and yea.. It goes on and on and on~ Monks really know how to live it big! To enter the monks' temple which was tiled with tiles imported from Italy, you had to wear special wraps around your shoes just so that you don't scratch their freaking expensive tiles!! xD I mean, the building is GARGANTUOUS and to tile every corner from the entrance to the exit (Including all the male and female washrooms you will see every 20 steps) with imported tiles would be downright expensive!! @.@
Ahh the food was outstanding as Malaysian delicacies! Have you seen crabs with hair on them? xD Better yet, I've eaten them XP There was also one meal where we were supposed to gather our own veggies and fish but yea, people grow the veggies and we just pluck them out of the ground. As for the fish, we just sat in the boat and watch~ For short, China food were pretty oily and salty due to Winter as they needed more heat I guess? I'm not so sure but the food there were pretty special and the funny thing was that each meal had like 12-16 dishes served to each table of 9 people which was still quite a large amount of food to make disappear so we kinda ended up wasting a whole lot of it >.<
There was also the wax museum in Shanghai itself!! The wax sculptures were so real that if you stand next to them completely still, people may think you're a wax sculpture yourself!! Though I was kinda disappointed of how Jay Chou looked from the original. The sculpture doesn't really resemble much to the real thing but I guess it's the best they can get XP The others were pretty convincing like Andy Lau. They made him look so real wei~ In general, almost all of those wax sculptures were too good to be true XP I mean TOO GOOD :P
Then there was Shanghai's tallest tower which was much taller than our Petronas Tower. They were so smart that they tiled one part of the building tiles with transparent glass so you can look down 270 meters and know how does it feel to jump off a building. I mean, it's really scary at first and you dare not look down once you're on the transparent tile but after a while, I can even do a handstand on it xD But still... SCARY!! There's still that adrenaline rush you get and the insecurity that the tile you are standing on might just disappear and leave you falling down 270 meters!! AWESOME!! :D
All in all, Shanghai was all round the best trip I've went thus far. The food was fantastic, scenery was stunning and almost everything I can remember was flawlessly beautiful :) Just wished that I could have went for both Shanghai and Youth Church Camp >.< Sigh.. Anyhow, it's nice to be awesome in Shanghai :D
